EVENTAINMENT's first musical of 2007 was the sold out hit HAIR, the Tribal Love-Rock Musical, performed at the Regal Theatre in Perth in May 2007. Starring

the production was enjoyed by over 15,000 theatre hungry Western Australians, some excited eastern staters and one special fan that flew in from the UK. HAIR was the first in a series of musical theatre productions produced by Eventainment aimed at finally bringing internationally recognised musicals to WA at the quality standards befitting musicals of their stature. To do this we use recognised international and national artists as well as highly trained Australian actors, such as graduates of NIDA or WAAPA and all our actors and musicians are paid well for their services.

Our 2007 season will end with the worldwide smash hit musical RENT. RENT is considered the first breakthrough rock musical since HAIR and the greatest rock musical of modern times, and EVENTAINMENT is proud to bring both musicals to Perth in 2007. Starring

and Andrew Conaghan (Berger in HAIR) RENT provides a scorching hot modern take on Puccini's La Boheme and is considered the greatest rock musical of modern times. This stirring musical centres on a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York City's Bohemian East Village. Searching for love and dealing with loss these artists and musicians choose to embrace life as if there is NO DAY BUT TODAY!
